IMPROVEMENTS

• Purpose-built high-throughput abattoir featuring a practical and efficient operational layout.

• Dedicated slaughtering areas for cattle, sheep, and pigs.

• Three large cold rooms, including a commercial freezer room.

• Support and utility areas: boiler room, storerooms, cloakrooms, and ablution facilities.

• Certified processing capacity: previously approved for 75 large stock units/day, currently registered for 200 large stock units/day.

(1 chiller unit = 1 bovine or 6 sheep or 2 calves or 2 pigs)

• Three slaughter lines fitted with overhead slide rails, partitions, and a four-door loading area.

• Livestock handling facility with concrete flooring and iron roofing on a steel structure, linked directly to the main abattoir.

• Office building comprising:

• Reception area

• Administration offices

• Tea kitchen

• Storeroom

• Staff ablution facilities

• Carport providing covered parking for ±6 vehicles, plus a smaller adjacent office.

• Rectangular storage shed situated separately from the main building, used for skin and hide storage, with its own compliant entrance.

• Freestanding workshop near the southern boundary—previously a butchery—now used for maintenance.

• Additional on-site structures include:

• Guard house

• Thatched lapa / entertainment area

• Standby generator room

• Water purification pit

• Incinerator
